9月20日 A Sad EveningForget where and when i have watched this movie, but the story and images vividly popped into my mind...
In an elderly care house, an old lady sat by her window, staring out at the blue sky, trying to remember...
An elderly man, sitting next to her, woeing her with sweet words, holding a bouquet of roses, a routine gift for his lady every morning...
The lady seemed indifferent, the man total stranger to her, often annoyed by him... he had a deep frown, but extremely soft eyes looking at her, a usual smile that added wrinkles around his eyes. He seemed determined, determine to win his girl, across age and time.
Days past, surroundings changed, but the man was always around his lady. At night watching stars, or enjoying the sun in the garden filled with brilliant flowers. He was always whispering to her, in a heartbreakingly soft and tender voice, seemingly wanting to rouse just some attention from her...
They were husband and wife. In their midlife, his wife developed mind deteriorating disease, forgotten almost everything, including her husband.
In their younger days, they fought to be together, while creating a love with a strong bond none other.
He would never give up, not after what they had been through. Through his soft whispers and tender eyes he sought to win his lady back again, a second time... And he would not care if it would take him his remaining days just to do that.
Sad. I almost teared just remembering the images. If you have loved, the saddest thing would be to have your partner forgetting how you have loved, and having to remind him or her, or just so to regain what you had already in the first place...
I wonder why i remembered this movie...
